The August meeting of the Fostoria Coin Club was called to order on August 19th, 2024, at 7:30pm by President Brandeberry, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 29 members plus one guest present. The guest was Rodan Reiter.
There were no members on the sick list. The minutes and treasury reports were reviewed and approved as read.
There was no old business.
Show Business – Vini asked for Vic to watch for raffle prizes.
New Business -
Dave went to Chicago to accept our plaque for our 60th year in existence. The plaque and literature were passed around for members to see.
Gary has raffle tickets for the CONA show for members to buy.
Phil Cole announced that there will be an auction September 12th, at 4pm, to sell the contents of his auction buildings. The ad is on auctionzip.com.
Membership length was discussed – in relation to the club's 60th year – Cody joined in 1973, and Gary has been a member for 33 years. We have no original founding members left.
Vini brought $2 bills to sell at face value.
Harry and Tom made a motion and second to adjourn.
Door prizes and an a lively auction followed.
