FOSTORIA COIN CLUB
The
Fostoria Coin Club met on Monday, January 18, 2010, at Key Bank on West Tiffin Street in Fostoria. The meeting was
called to order by the new president, Tom Weisenburger. He welcomed the 26 members and 2 visitors. The visitors were Roger Keefe, Arcadia, and George Welly, Fostoria. They were given
the first reading for membership.
Old
Business: Bourse chairman, Phil
Warrington, told that he has received money for 29 tables at our coin show
March 28th. He still has
around 12 tables available to reserve to coin dealers. Otto Blackburn
brought in the raffle ticket drum that the club ordered in Dec. Total cost was $135. Otto also said that the UAW Hall is available
for our show this year but is “iffy” for 2011.
The total cost to rent the UAW Hall this year is $800 which is an
increase of $200 from 2009. Judy Burk
reported on the progress of advertising for our show. Randy Burk brought to the member’s attention
a misprint on the raffle tickets. The
ticket should read 15 tickets for $10 rather than 10 tickets for $15. Chuck Brandeberry said he is willing to chair
the member’s sale table at the show again.
Members should start planning on what coins they wish to put up for sale
at the show.
Meeting
was adjourned by Denny Hall and Gary Moran.
Phil Warrington conducted a 24 lot auction. The junior door prize was won by James Haas
and the senior door prize was won by Otto Blackburn. The next meeting will be Feb. 15, 7:30 p.m. at the Key Bank on West Tiffin Street.
