Meeting Information: The Fostoria Coin Club meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at Hope Lutheran Church, 151 W. Center Street Doors open at 6:30 pm & meeting begins at 7:30 pm.                                                     

Coming Events:    Next meeting of FCC will be Monday August 18th at Hope Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.        Coin Show:           Sunday March 29th 2015

The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Brandeberry at 7:30 pm with 22 members present. Both the Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were approved as read. No member illnesses reported however the mental health of Denny Hall is in question after the “sick joke” he shared with the group!

OLD BUSINESS:  Vincent Gaietto reported that the article on “Collecting Coins” by Advertiser Tribune columnist Mary Ann Kromer has not been published yet.

NEW BUSINESS:  (1) Gary Moran announced the C.O.N.A. Coin Show that will be held in Columbus August 29-31st and he also has raffle tickets for sale. (2) Bill Sayer said that he is” uncomfortable taking possession of members coins a month or more in advance of the monthly club auctions”. He cited liability issues as his main concern and suggested that members just give him a list of the lots and it would be there responsibility to bring them to the meeting. A discussion concerning the pros and cons of this auction format took place and it was decided to table this topic for future action..

SHOW BUSINESS: Phil Warrington said it was time to decide on next year’s Raffle Prizes for the 2015 Spring Show. A motion by Rich McClellan and second by Chuck Brandeberry to “keep the prizes the same as the previous year” passed. Phil Warrington will order the appropriate products from the US Mint and supply the Morgan and Peace dollars. Bruce Hanny will procure the (2) 2 ½ dollar gold pieces

CORRESPONDENCE: The President read correspondence from P.N.G (Professional Numismatic Guild) announcing internship opportunities for the coming year and a letter from The ANA which included discount admission tickets for the August Money Show to be held in Chicago.

Meeting was adjourned by Bob Kane & Gary Moran, Door prizes( 1980-S proof sets) were won by Otto Blackburn and Joe Dohanos. Bill Sayre conducted a 25 lot coin auction. Respectfully submitted, Phil Warrington, Secretary.
